In order to see drivers or passengers who are going to your destination, the first thing you need to do is to provide us with details of where you are going.

Some of the details you will need to provide include your destination district, district of departure, your preferred date and time of travel, among others.

Upon entering and submitting your travel details, if you are seeking for a lift, you will be able to see and browse through a list of drivers who will heading to your destination – together with their travel details.

On the other hand, if you are a driver and are seeking for travelers you can offer a lift in exchange for their contribution to your fuel, you will be able to see and browse through a list of passengers who are seeking for a lift to your destination.

Check out their travel details to decide if you would like to travel with them.

Ride request and offers Send a ride request to the driver you would like to be matched with, or a ride offer to the passenger you want to be matched with. You can send requests and offers to more than one person.

Ride-Sharing Agreement: Layata includes a ride-sharing agreement that users must agree to before confirming a ride. This agreement outlines terms and conditions, ensuring that both the driver and passenger are aware of their responsibilities and contributing to a secure ride-sharing experience.

In the event that you request for a lift from more than one driver, you will be matched with the first driver to express interest in giving you a lift.

On the other hand, if you are a driver and you notice a passenger you would like to offer a lift, feel free to offer a lift to that passenger. You can offer a lift to more than one passenger.

You will be notified once you match with a driver or passenger. Does Layata notify the other traveler after you request or offer them a lift? No!! But once they also express interest in being matched with you, then the two of you will be considered to have matched and will be notified accordingly.

After you have matched with one or more travelers, a chat group is automatically created for you where you can chat to plan your journey effectively. Use it to agree on things like where you will meet to start your journey.

Layata offers a trip monitoring feature for added security. You can choose individuals from your phone book and request to monitor their trip. Similarly, you can receive requests from others to monitor your trip. This feature allows periodic updates about the location in real-time.

Driver and Passenger verification: During pickup, confirm the details of your driver or passenger to ensure they are correct for your safety and security.

Confirm Pickup: Let us know once you get picked or each time you pick a passenger so we can start the live tracking and trip monitoring feature for your safety and security.

Notify friends and family: Your friends and family who are monitoring your trip will automatically be notified of the pickup to enhance your safety.

Once your trip starts, live tracking will begin, providing real-time location updates to friends who are monitoring your trips. This feature ensures that the journey is traceable, adding to the overall security of the travel experience.

Confirm drop off: Let us know once you get dropped off or each time you drop off a passenger.

Notify friends and family: Your friends and family will be notified of the drop off provided you requested them to monitor your trip.

Post-Trip Feedback: After each journey, provide feedback on your travel companions. Rate your experience and share comments about what you enjoyed or areas for improvement.

Receive Feedback: Receive feedback from others in the Layata community. Gain valuable insights into the preferences and experiences of your potential travel companions.
